Sales Representative

Sherriff Electrical is an Australian owned Electrical Wholesaler.  Regarded as one of the leading independents, our people strive to provide the highest level of customer service possible. We are currently on the hunt for a Sales Representative to make their mark in our branch at Sherriff Hobart.

We need a dynamic and enthusiastic sales professional who is able to build relationships and think creatively.  The ideal applicant for this role would be someone with a great work ethic that can thrive and learn within an experienced team.

Your duties would include but would not be limited to:

  • Maximising branch sales and profitability.

  • Planning and implementing strategies to generate and grow sales.

  • Growing business with existing and new customers. 

  • Maintaining account and call plans including activity.

  • Monitoring product pricing and trading margins.

  • Capitalising on sales and margin opportunities.

  • Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and customers.

  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitor activities, and potential for new products and services.

Preferred personal attributes would include:

  • Demonstrated experience in field sales, territory management and maintaining call plans within a wholesale or trade sales environment.

  • Electrical knowledge or trade background.

  • Well-developed organizational, planning and prioritization skills.

  • Exceptional communication & interpersonal skills.

  • Previous sales experience, promoting Industrial, Residential, Commercial, Data product ranges as well as experience building partnerships with key accounts, specifiers, consultants, and electrical contractors.

  • Aptitude to learn and understand our product range.

  • Continuously improve through feedback.

  • Intermediate computer skills.

  • Current and valid Driver’s License.
