We are seeking a skilled and motivated Program Delivery Lead to join our dynamic team and lead the delivery of these projects to new heights.

We need a Program Delivery Lead who can partner with our amazing team and work with our stakeholders to achieve great things.

What you will be working on 

As the Program Delivery Lead at the City of Armadale, you'll lead a dedicated team responsible for delivering the city's major building projects, which receive annual investments ranging from $20M to $40M. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse and impactful projects that shape the future of our community.

You'll be at the forefront of driving forward-thinking initiatives and ensuring that our built environment meets the needs of our growing population. From overseeing architecturally designed upgrades of existing buildings, such as sporting pavilions and a repurposed heritage church, to managing the construction of new community facilities like libraries, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing the city's infrastructure.

Reporting directly to the Head of Program Delivery, you'll have the autonomy to lead projects from concept design to detailed execution, collaborating with external architects and design consultants along the way. Your responsibilities will extend to liaising with stakeholders across the organization to ensure seamless project progression and compliance with regulatory requirements.

In this dynamic role, you'll drive the implementation of project plans, monitor performance, and proactively manage risks to ensure the successful delivery of each project.

What Type Of Person Will Be Successful:

We are seeking an experienced leader with a proven track record in team creation and management, adept at setting clear objectives and empowering teams to exceed expectations. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in managing the delivery of both new construction and building upgrade projects, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and meeting stakeholder and community expectations.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Building and Construction (Structural and/or Civil) or related disciplines.
  • Experience in developing Business Cases and Project Management documentation, with a project management qualification preferred.
  • Substantial experience in delivering major building capital projects, including building design, estimating, renovation/construction, and project management.
  • Strong understanding of Contract Management, AS4000, and AS2124.

In this role, you will provide technical advice and support to internal and external stakeholders on various aspects including approvals, design, construction, contracts, procurement, compliance, and sustainability. Your specialist leadership will play a crucial role in supporting the City of Armadale's rapid growth and making a positive impact on the community.
