An exciting opportunity currently exists for you to join the ICU, Women's and Perioperative Services as an Ophthalmology Registrar. This role is suitable for a post-Fellowship exam, final year ophthalmologist in training who wishes to do a high volume of surgical and outpatient surgery in regional Queensland.

About your role:

• Supervise the day-to-day activities of junior medical staff to ensure that appropriate standards of care are maintained and that junior medical staff are trained to adequately fulfill their duties.
• Ensure comprehensive, accurate and concise medical records are maintained and comply with ieMR requirements.
• Manage the administrative requirements of the hospital and patient care including ensuring discharge summaries and medico-legal correspondence is completed with minimal delay; in accordance with hospital standards and that all such correspondence is complete prior to leaving the unit.
• Maintain good communications with all areas and disciplines within the Health Service and with local medical practitioners to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the hospital.
