Laboratory Technician - 3-month Fixed term

A positive team player who works well with others. Important: Applicants must live within the designated DIDO (Drive-In, Drive-Out) zone of hire. Key Responsibilities Include:

• Carrying out safe and effective duties for the continuous operation of the onsite metallurgical laboratory
• Providing support to rotating shift team members
• Assisting as required with monitoring and operation of Water Treatment Plants
• The accurate and timely reporting of laboratory data and other information
• Reporting of all safety and maintenance issues in a timely manner
• Working closely and cooperatively with the laboratory team to ensure safety and operational targets are achieved
• Working cooperatively with personnel in other departments including: Geology, Mining, Maintenance and Metallurgy

About you:

• Qualification(s) in laboratory techniques or water treatment or relevant experience in a mining operation or analytical laboratory
• Experience in gold analytical techniques is preferred but not essential
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office
• Be willing to learn new concepts and work effectively unsupervised as well as part of a team
• DIDO Only - must live within a driving radius of the mine - essential or be willing to relocate
