CHC Australia is seeking Vietnamese-speaking Support Workers to join our growing team in the Gold Coast, providing Short Term Accommodation (STA) support to NDIS participants.

About the Role

As a Support Worker in our Gold Coast STA program, you’ll play a vital role in supporting participants during short stays in our SDA-quality infused accommodation. You’ll work with individuals to:

• Build capacity in daily living skills
• Support social and recreational engagement
• Promote healthier lifestyle choices
• Empower individuals to reach their personal goals

This role includes supporting participants with recovery and complex needs, including medication administration and behaviour support. A patient, encouraging approach is essential. Experience in mental health is highly regarded.

Support is provided in a residential STA setting and out in the community.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Deliver person-centred support to individuals with complex needs
• Provide transport to appointments and community activities (reliable vehicle required)
• Build strong, respectful relationships with participants, families, and care teams
• Mentor and encourage independence in daily living
• Assist with personal care and domestic tasks
• Communicate effectively in Vietnamese and English

What You’ll Need

• Experience supporting individuals with complex behaviours
• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or a related field
• Unrestricted driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• NDIS Worker Orientation and Infection Control Training (or willingness to complete)
• Working with Children Check / OCRE Card
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
• Criminal History Check
• Fluency in Vietnamese and English
• A genuine passion for helping others
