Cairns Harbourside Hotel has been operating at high occupancy for the past six months — and with strong, steady bookings continuing year-round, we’re expanding our housekeeping team to support the consistent demand.

We're looking for reliable, hands-on team members to fill long-term, stable housekeeping roles. Whether you're experienced or looking to build a long-term career in hospitality, we’d love to hear from you.

A Bit About the Role…

We currently have multiple Housekeeping Professional positions available. Each includes a mix of (3) room attendant day duties along with cross-training in other areas such as either:

• Public areas (1-2x shifts) or

• Laundry (1-2x shifts) or

• Houseperson (1-2x shifts)

Typical shifts start between 7:00am–8:00am and finish around 2:00pm–3:00pm, on a rotating roster with two days off in a row. Availability on at least one weekend day is required.

These are part-time roles covered under the Hospitality Industry (General) Award [MA000009], Level 2 – Guest Services Grade 2.

A Bit About You…

You take pride in your work, show up consistently, and want to be part of a team that works hard and supports each other.

• Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, cleaning, or similar (preferred, not essential)

• Physically fit and able to lift, bend, and be on your feet for extended periods

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to presentation standards

• Reliable, punctual and adaptable to different tasks

• Open to cross-training and learning new skills

• Friendly and respectful in guest and team interactions

• Available to work across a rotating 7-day roster (with at least 1 weekend day)
