Finance Officer

The Package: $71,944.08 - $79,500.20 gross per annum + 11.5% super. (Evaluated as Grade 9 of the QPRC Salary System 2024) and a guaranteed increase of 3% in 2025-26, plus potential performance-based progression.

Full time – 35 hours per week. Flexible work arrangements may apply.

Council is seeking a dedicated finance professional to manage creditor payments, bank reconciliations, and transaction accuracy with care and commitment.

In this role you will:

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of creditor payments and financial transactions.
• Respond to supplier and staff enquiries, ensuring smooth operation of the accounts payable process.
• Maintain the accounts payable system and support the purchase order process.

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds a Relevant qualification in Accounting and/or demonstrated experience in a similar role in a Finance environment.
• Possesses strong customer service skills with effective oral and written communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft suite of programs and electronic records management systems.
