About The Role

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our Finance Team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate and efficient financial operations across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, and month-end support.

You’ll work closely with the Senior Accountant, People & Culture, and the broader Corporate Services team to ensure smooth financial workflows and compliance with funding and audit requirements.

This is a fixed term, part time role (0.6 FTE) – 3 days per week for a period of 12 months.

Key Responsibilities

Process supplier invoices, reimbursements, and customer billing accurately and on time. Complete weekly payment runs, bank reconciliations, and assist with monthly reporting schedules. Maintain accurate financial data across Sage, aXcelerate, Weel, and payment platforms (Ezypay, Paysmart). Reconcile accounts, follow up aged debtors, and support the preparation of GST and audit reports. Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and system improvements to enhance financial efficiency. Provide helpful support to internal teams and maintain strong attention to detail in all transactions.

About You

You’re someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys balancing precision with teamwork. You’ll bring:

3+ years’ experience in accounts payable/receivable or a similar finance operations role. Certificate or Diploma in Accounting/Finance (or higher qualification preferred). Strong Excel and reconciliation skills, with exposure to Sage, aXcelerate, or Weel highly regarded. A commitment to accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
