Responsibilities

Our client seeks an experienced and energetic Control Systems Engineer to join their vibrant team in the capital of the north, Darwin. Your extensive control systems experience will see you design, develop, maintain, implement, and program new and existing industrial systems. Those systems are implemented into projects for Tier 1 clients in a wide range of industries including oil and gas, power generation, renewables, water, building management systems, and government. You will also be responsible for:

Guiding clients to provide fit-for-purpose and accurate engineering servicesIdentifying and reporting on risks and hazardsIdentifying opportunities to leverage new tools or techniques to improve the team’s efficiency and productivityKeeping up to date with vendor technologies, maintaining currency of professional and technical knowledge

About You

Skills

You will be a highly flexible, autonomous, hands-on, and results-driven professional dedicated to delivering work to the highest standard. Your demonstrated background in Controls Systems Engineering and ability to successfully meet deadlines will see you excel in this role. The successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

Relevant Engineering DegreeExperience in Functional Design, Specification DevelopmentProficient in SCADA and HMI ConfigurationKnowledge of PLC platforms like Rockwell (incl View SE), Allen Bradley, Citect, Miri Telemetry, and IgnitionKnowledge of Safety SystemsExperience in Greenfield Design of Automation SystemsExperience in troubleshooting, fault finding, and commissioning of automation systems, instrumentation, and VSDs
