Westmar State School is located in the northwestern region of Darling Downs South West Region and services the area of Westmar.

Westmar is located on the Moonie Highway 74 km west of Moonie and 120 km east of St George.

The school has been established for 51 years and serves a farming and grazing community.

About The Role

Responsibilities include, but not limited to;

Perform Routine and Detailed Cleaning: Clean and sanitise classrooms, toilets, sick bays, windows, floors, and high-touch surfaces; control cobwebs and mildew using appropriate equipment.Maintain Floors and Outdoor Areas: Carry out sweeping, vacuuming, hosing, graffiti removal, rubbish disposal, and floor care (buffing, stripping, polishing) across both indoor and outdoor surfaces.Maintain Equipment and Supplies: Clean and maintain cleaning equipment; liaise with the Principal or Business Manager regarding the purchase or replacement of materials.Support Security and Safety Procedures: Activate/disarm security systems, lock/unlock buildings, and report safety or damage issues to appropriate staff.Communicate Effectively: Refer public inquiries to relevant personnel and maintain open communication with school leadership regarding cleaning, safety, and maintenance matters.
