About Emerge Early Years Services: EEYS is dedicated to enriching children's lives through quality early childhood education and care. With twelve centres spanning the Horsham Rural City, Hindmarsh Shire, and Northern Grampians Shire Municipalities, EEYS is a not-for-profit incorporated association employing over 150 local staff and generating an annual turnover of 8.5M. Your contribution: As the CEO of Emerge Early Years Services, you will promote a culture of trust and open communication; fostering positive, strength-based and collaborative environments where educators feel valued and empowered to create Holistic, educational and inclusive play spaces and learning environments. You’ll be advocating for the needs of our rural centres, ensuring they receive the support and resources necessary to thrive. By engaging with staff, families, and the community, you'll champion a welcoming environment that prioritises the well-being and development of every child. Your leadership will guide our dedicated team through growth and change, supporting staff as they adapt to new challenges and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Lead and manage the implementation, evaluation, and adaptation of the Strategic Plan in consultation with the Board
  • Provide regular updates and subject matter advice to the Board on legal, operational, and policy matters
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and child safety standards
  • Drive continuous quality improvement and manage policy compliance under the National Quality Framework
  • Lead a positive organisational culture of ongoing improvement and adaptability
  • Manage performance and disciplinary issues ensuring appropriate resolution
  • Oversee budget preparation, payroll, financial processes, and finance and risk reporting

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Hold a qualification in Business Management, Law, Health, Commerce, Education, or other relevant discipline
  • Senior management or CEO experience
  • Demonstrated success in contributing to the development and leading the implementation of organisational goals
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of fostering relationships
  • Proven ability to foster a positive organisational culture, manage change, and enhance workforce effectiveness
  • Skilled in financial management, budget development, and securing funding
  • Proven knowledge of legislation, regulations, current policies and standards governing the operation of children’s services
