Role Description

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our kitchen team. This role

offers the opportunity to contribute to menu innovation, oversee daily kitchen

operations, and bring creativity and leadership to our growing venue.

Key Responsibilities

Menu Development & Food Preparation

● Design and implement seasonal menus highlighting fresh and locally sourced

ingredients.

● Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.

Kitchen Operations

● Oversee daily kitchen activities, ensuring smooth service and efficiency.

● Manage food and labour costs, implementing effective waste-reduction

strategies.

● Ensure compliance with all food safety and hygiene standards.

Leadership & Training

● Supervise, mentor, and train kitchen staff to maintain a motivated team.

● Develop rosters and ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.

Quality Control & Customer Focus

● Conduct quality checks to maintain high culinary standards.

● Adapt menus and service in response to customer feedback.

Inventory & Supplier Management

● Manage stock levels and supplier relationships to guarantee timely

procurement.

● Monitor costs and negotiate effectively with suppliers.

Qualifications Required:

● Diploma or Certificate iv in Commercial cookery or a related field is preferred.

Work Experience Required:

● Minimum of 1 year of experience as a chef role.

● Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing a kitchen team

effectively.

● Experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments are highly

desirable.
