About the Role

We’re seeking a dynamic Change Lead to be the spearhead of our change initiatives and drive impactful results. Use your influence to make change happen – maximise value while safeguarding business continuity.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge change management strategies, methodologies, and frameworks tailored to our council's needs. Your expertise will be crucial in executing continuous improvement projects and programs, providing expert guidance to ensure smooth transitions and successful outcomes.

Reporting to the Team Leader Continuous Improvement the core responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive change management framework and plans to support organisational initiatives and drive successful change adoption.
  • Lead and manage change efforts, including enhancing team capability and building effective relationships with key stakeholders for broad and local support.
  • Direct a change team to deliver impact assessments, heat maps, and feedback mechanism, while collaborating with CI facilitators and crafting change and communication strategies for priority projects.
  • Design impactful change management strategies and interventions, collaborating closely with stakeholders to develop tailored change plans.
  • Ensure customer experience remains central to transformation efforts and support the implementation of continuous improvement programs, aligning with strategic goals and community expectations.
  • Build collaborative and outcome-focused relationships at all levels of the Council.
  • Work closely with other members of the Customer & Service improvement unit to ensure effective and consistent service for Council.

About You

  • Proven experience in successfully leading a complex and extensive change portfolio, preferably in a service-related field within a medium to large enterprise.
  • Experience with recognised change, project and Agile methodologies such as ProSci/ADKAR, Prince2, PMBOK or Scrum.
  • Tertiary qualifications in business or organisational development / psychology or information technology.
  • Highly developed emotional intelligence and self-awareness
  • Experience in improving customer experience at an organisational level.
