As a Community Development Officer, you'll be an ambassador for STEPS, building trusted partnerships with local organisations, employers, and community groups. Through meaningful engagement and promotion of our programs, you'll help open doors to education, employment, and empowerment for people across the Darwin region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including employers, community representatives, referral partners and industry influencers.
- Program Promotion: Promote STEPS programs and services through innovative marketing campaigns, presentations, community and networking events.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive program growth and participation.
- Community Connection: Organise and host presentations, Q&A sessions, and site visits, engaging with community organisations, sporting groups, multicultural organisations, and government departments
What We're Looking For:
- Relationship Builder: Proven ability to quickly build rapport and establish networks within the community.
- Energetic and Innovative: A dynamic individual who can adapt to diverse situations, promote positive outcomes and communicate confidently.
- Community-Focused: Passionate about making a positive difference in the community and supporting culturally diverse and disadvantaged clients.
- Driver's License: A valid C Class Driver Licence is essential.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Current Working with Children card (OCHRE)
- Acceptable National Police Check (every two years)
