We’re looking for an experienced leader in early childhood education to step into a pivotal 2IC/Educational Leader role at our 64 place purpose-built service in the coastal suburb, Coogee.

This role is perfect for someone who has previous leadership experience in a similar setting and is confident in mentoring educators, driving curriculum and programming, and leading with a strong pedagogical focus.

About the Role

This leadership role is ideal for someone with previous experience in a similar setting who is passionate about making a real impact, both in the classroom and across the service.

You’ll work with our Centre Director to support daily operations, lead curriculum and programming, and mentor a dedicated team of educators to deliver high-quality, meaningful learning experiences.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting day-to-day centre operations and stepping in as Responsible Person or covering ratio's when needed

  • Leading curriculum direction and inspiring reflective practice across all rooms

  • Coaching, mentoring and supporting educators in planning and program delivery

  • Collaborating on compliance, quality improvement, and family engagement

What We’re Looking For

We’re after someone who brings energy, leadership, and a deep passion for early childhood education. This role leans heavily into Educational Leadership, so experience in this area is a must. You'll need to have a strong grasp on curriculum, programming, planning, and everything that makes a great Educational Leader.

  • Diploma or bachelor's in early childhood education (Early Childhood Teachers encouraged to apply)

  • Proven leadership experience in an early childhood setting

  • Experience as an Educational Leader (desirable)

  • Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS, and inquiry-based, child-led practices

  • Confident in curriculum design, programming, planning, and critical reflection

  • A genuine passion for mentoring and helping others grow

  • Current WA Working with Children Check, First Aid & CPR

  • Currently residing in Perth, WA (interstate candidates will not be considered)

  • Full working rights in Australia
