​​​​​​​IP Recruitment are currently recruiting experienced abattoir workers to work with one of our clients located in Gingin. These positions offer immediate start, minimum 38 hours per week with regular overtime and great long-term opportunities on the beef slaughter floor. The work is fast paced and physical, so you need to be fit to keep up. Previous experience working in an abattoir environment would be an advantage, you can't be squeamish.

You will be required to carry out various tasks including but not limited to:

• Humane Slaughter: Ensuring the beef are stunned and killed in a humane manner, following industry standards and regulations.

• Slaughter Process: Performing tasks such as bleeding, skinning, and removing internal organs.

• Carcass Preparation: Preparing the carcass for further processing, including splitting, quartering, and de-boning.

• Meat Processing: Assisting with the cleaning and trimming of the meat.

• Equipment Operation: Operating and maintaining specialised equipment used in the slaughter and processing of beef.

• Safety: Following strict safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

As well as being capable of the above all applicants will also need to meet the following to be considered for these roles.

• Have full work rights no WHVs will be accepted for these roles

• Have previous experience in various aspects of abattoir work

• Any level of abattoir experience is acceptable for this role

• Be available for an immediate start

• Have your own reliable transport

• Be able to start at 5.30am and work 38 hours per week

• Be physically fit as work is labour intensive

• Be willing to travel to Gingin or live locally

• Permanent residents only will be considered for this position
