On behalf of our client—a respected not-for-profit operating a modern 70-bed residential aged care home in the Foster, Victoria community—we are seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant. Key Duties (by Category)

Personal Care & Emotional Support

• Deliver exceptional personal care strictly in line with individual care plans, actively supporting each resident’s independence, dignity, and emotional wellbeing through kind, respectful interactions.

• Provide dedicated support for residents living with dementia, implementing behavioural support interventions and therapy plans with patience and understanding.

Monitoring, Compliance & Safety

• Closely monitor residents’ physical and emotional conditions, promptly reporting any changes or concerns regarding care needs to the nursing team.

• Maintain full compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards, OH&S policies, and relevant legislation, actively participating in workplace safety and continuous improvement initiatives.

Teamwork, Relationships & Improvement

• Foster positive, collaborative relationships with residents, their families, and all colleagues, embodying the “work as a team” value in daily practice.

• Participate in ongoing professional development, attend team meetings, and contribute ideas that help “find a better way” to enhance resident care.

Skills & Experience Required

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification, plus a minimum of one year of full-time experience in a similar aged care role.

• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (issued within the last 5 years) is preferable; up-to-date flu vaccination and full COVID-19 immunization required.

• Satisfactory police check with no disclosures, own reliable transportation, and a strong commitment to long-term employment within a team-focused, kindness-driven environment.
