Inspira Kids is seeking a passionate and reliable Early Childhood Cook to join our Lakelands Centre in a Permanent Part-Time capacity.

In this role, you will be responsible for

• Preparing healthy, nutritious and age-appropriate meals and snacks for children

• Preparing meals in accordance with Food Safety and Nutrition Guidelines

• Maintaining safe and hygienic food preparation, storage and kitchen practices

• Ensuring all allergy and dietary requirements are strictly adhered to

• Ordering and managing food supplies in collaboration with Centre Management

• Monitoring stock levels and minimising food wastage

• Adhering to and maintaining kitchen standards that meet the requirements set forth by the Department of Health and all other relevant regulatory requirements

• Completing kitchen records, temperature checks and cleaning schedules

• Assisting in creating positive mealtime experiences for children

• Building positive relationships with children, families and team members

About You

The successful applicant will ideally possess:

• Previous experience as a Cook and/or a relevant qualification (e.g. cookery, food preparation, catering)

• Current Food Handlers and Food Safety Supervisor Certificate

• Current Working with Children's Check

• Experience working in an Early Childcare Setting (highly regarded)

• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices

• Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and thrive under pressure
