About Us:

MS Fabrications is currently seeking 2nd/3rd Year Apprentice Boilermakers to join their TOWNSVILLE based operation. MS Fabrications is a locally owned and family operated business that looks to expand their team of enthusiastic and dedicated workers.

About you:

The successful candidate will play a vital role in keeping our customer sites operational by working on various fixed and mobile plant. This is a full-time opportunity offering competitive hourly rates.

Responsibilities as you progress through your apprenticeship & beyond:

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and fabrication work on crushers, screens, conveyors, and other machinery to ensure uninterrupted site operations.

• Conduct general fabrication tasks as required.

• Collaborate with the team to address breakdowns and mechanical issues promptly.

• Adhere to safety regulations and contribute to maintaining a safe work environment.

Requirements:

• Must be currently enrolled in either 2nd or 3rd year of a boilermaking apprenticeship.

• Provide references from previous employers.

• Minimum Year 10 pass preferred, Year 12 Mathematics pass given first preference.

• Must hold a current car licence (C class).

• Excellent work ethic & a desire to learn & succeed.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

• Availability to work Monday to Friday from 5 am to 5 pm (Start and finish times may vary), and weekend work as needed.

• Willingness to travel outside of Townsville occasionally as required.

• You may be required to undertake a drug screen as part of the onboarding process.

• Must have Australian work rights for this position.
